What stays on the PC, and what the API keeps.

Vitrine processes product images locally, on the computer where the desktop app is installed. Scan, clean, and localize do not require sending those pixels to a Vitrine model host. There is no paid AI service in the default install.

Account

Creating an account stores the email address and a password hash on the Vitrine control-plane API. That account is how a desktop device pairs and how the Admin app calls the API. The device token stays on that PC. It is not a Shopify Admin token.

Shop connection

When you install the Shopify app, Shopify gives the Vitrine API an offline Admin token so Apply can run. The token is encrypted on the API. It is not placed in the desktop app, and it is not shown in the browser. Uninstalling the app disables Apply and the token is dropped.

Catalog images

Vitrine does not sell catalog pixels. Approved images are uploaded to the merchant's own Shopify store only when someone chooses Apply in the Admin app. Local folder jobs stay in the job folders on the PC.

Billing

Free and Pro are Shopify App Pricing plans. Shopify is the merchant of record for the $19 Pro subscription. Vitrine does not collect card numbers and does not bill through Stripe or PayPal.
